From Duane, in Oregon (http://www.duaneanderson.net) (1/17/01) "The CC mode is way cool. I've been listening to Mt. Bachelor on 856.0125 - 860.0125, Nextel public SMR system. I just couldn't but feel I was missing some conversations. So, I popped in the current data channel (860.0125) into CC mode. I wasn't sure what plan, so I just picked Plan 1. Wow!!!!! Frequencies started flying in all over the place. I just snagged an awesome rescue by the Mt. Bachelor Ski Patrol, something I would have missed had I not went into CC mode."

He also uses a cassette adaptor to listen to the BC780XLT thru his car stereo. A laptop is used for advanced programming and he uses a glass mounted cellular antenna. Works great! |

Another great application for the 780 and other equipment. Carl has his 780 connected to a PL Tone decoder Also present are several two-way radios and another Bearcat scanner. |
